One size does not fit all

We don’t want to fit all our clients in one little box, providing set packages for everything, when requirements come in all different sizes and shapes.

For most projects, we scope your requirements and charge a fixed fee based on a time estimate at $100 per hour.   That way you're never left anxiously wondering how much you will have to pay in the end.

There is an exception to our individual project pricing. We've created a few standard website copywriting packages based on standard website writing needs:

Getting things started

Most initial writing projects require:

  • a preliminary, comprehensive brief to get to know
    • your business
    • your business goals
    • your marketing strategy and goals
    • your corporate culture
    • your market position
    • your customers and prospects
    • your specific project goals
  • a few rounds of client correspondence
  • sometimes a face-to-face meeting at your place of business so our writers can get a "feel" for your corporate culture
  • some industry research
  • some competitor research
  • review and analysis of your existing website or marketing collateral
  • planning and structuring of the content for your project

And that’s all before we actually start to write!  As a result, you can expect your Homepage or your initial project to be a more significant investment than following pages or projects.  We transfer the knowledge gained through our initial work with you to additional projects, meaning our time and your investment decrease the more we work together.

Regular Writing gives you the most bang for your buck

We reward you for retaining our services.  If you know you are going to have regular writing requirements – like a few hours a month or a set number of articles per quarter, we’re happy to give you a discounted rate for retaining our services.  We can work out time-based contracts or project/article-based contracts at about 85% of our usual rates.
